Love the magical look of a glass terrarium? Create a mini plant world in a glass globe that can live anywhere, adding a whimsical design touch to your home. In this class, you will design your own terrarium using air plants, rocks, moss, crystals, pebbles, sand and more! Learn all the necessary tricks and tips to keep your plant friends happy and healthy. This workshop is fun, meditative, creative and relaxing! Spend some time with nature - indoors!
Air Plants, also known as Tillandsia, are super easy plants to grow. All it takes is water (air plants take water directly from the air with tiny vessels located on their leaves...so easy), some nutrients, light, a little love, and they will love you back! Technically Epiphytes, air plants usually grow on another host such as a tree or other natural object. But unlike parasitic plants, air plants do not steal any nutrients from their host - they just use it as a home to grow on. What model citizens! Like air plants, we can also use our roots to anchor ourselves to our environment and thrive naturally.
