Your Body Knows What It Needs: A Movement Medicine Workshop 3/4
If you need to be reminded that you know how to move and it feels good to move, this workshop is for you.
Feel achy, rigid, and out of whack? Know you need to get moving but don’t know how to start? Beyond rigid poses and impossible fitness standards, your body has an innate appetite for movement. This workshop gives you a chance to listen to how your body wants to move. We’ll start with an exploratory yoga sequence to open up creaky areas of the hips, back, shoulders, and neck. Then we’ll move into a more solid sequence to build heat and strength. There will be plenty of time to explore, play, and adapt your needs. We’ll end with a deep relaxation and a group reflection.
If you need a safe, welcoming place to be reminded that movement is medicine, this workshop is for you.
Bring along a yoga mat, blanket, journal and pen.
